Recycling

Oakley offers numerous recycling solutions to best suit our customers' needs. We operate a Waste Transfer Station on a 5 acre site in Corby, Northants, and pride ourselves on recycling over 65% of all waste entering our Transfer Station.

We believe in preserving our environment and recycling wherever possible. Much of our recyclable waste is baled on our site and loaded directly onto shipping containers for delivery to various specialist recyclers around the world.

Our site in Corby has two large buildings, where the waste is taken to after collection. Each building has its own purpose and holds different waste types. One building is used for general industrial waste and the other for recyclable materials.

The general waste building is where all mixed waste is deposited after collection. The waste is collected from various sources including industrial premises, households and building sites. All waste collected is deposited on a manned picking line which we use to remove any recyclable materials. This process enables us to reduce the amount of waste that gets taken to landfill, therefore reducing costs and helping to preserve the environment.
