Wheelie Bin Waste Collection

Oakley Waste Management offers a wheelie bin collection service for light, compactable waste. The containers used are sturdy plastic or metal lidded waste containers on wheels, like the ones you get at home, but bigger. The most common size of container is 1100 cubic litres (the household containers are 240 cubic litres). The containers are lockable, so other people do not use your bin, and have brakes on the wheels to stop the containers rolling away.

An Oakley vehicle drives round and empties these containers on the customers' site. This service is aimed at the smaller commercial customer such as factory canteen facilities, retail outlets, small warehouses, pubs and schools/colleges. The containers can be emptied once or several times a week, based on customer demand.

When emptying the bins, the bin is hooked onto special equipment at the back of the truck that lifts the bin and tips the rubbish into the vehicle. The rubbish is then compacted and the bin is returned to its' position ready to be filled up again.
